In a surprising partnership that breaks traditional expectations, the game developer has revealed an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, including free additional story content for Shadows players.

Strange Mission Revealed

According to the official statement, "An unusual confrontation pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where hints of prohibited practices and terrifying metamorphoses reverberate through the shadows." The storyline introduces a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who charges the duo with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a secret group.

The questline centers on "peculiar experiments and a fearsome adversary" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Familiar Places and Metamorphoses

The teaser features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview ends with a dramatic sequence showing a character, presumably the prisoner, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Rewards and Bonus Content

Players who finish the adventure will obtain an unique katana together with numerous objects concealed throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
